Our woodworking club held their yearly picnic today.
Ricky and family cooked some great food again.
I will post a couple pics later of some projects that were shown.

Great class today at Woodcraft.
The three students left great reviews.
Class topic....'Creating Srollsaw Patterns Using CorelDraw'.

It seems that certain people have a problem with the pics below.
It makes me wonder their motives.
I did not design these and never claimed to.

*******************************
The following pieces are sold at Hobby Lobby. I took
these pics in March 2012.

For the past few days I have been cutting some patterns
that I designed many months ago. Its great to finally get these done.

*******************************
Added a new video to YouTube and to this site.
The theme of this video is 'Free Electricity'.
I learned a trick atr the SAW Expo 2002 and used trhe idea for
several years. About 18 montha ago I showed the technique to a local
person and now he uses it at all his craft shows.

Still working on two new cd's. I hope to finish these very soon.
My current cs,'50 Jigsaw Puzzle Patterns'
has sold quite well. Find this cd on  the 'Puzzle Page' of this website.

Didn't see  any new tools at the woodworking show.
I wonder how much longer it will survive.
I did buy a 4.00 45 degree angle gauge to
use with the designer puzzles.

I added another free scrollsaw pattern to the website.
This is a remodeled clipart that is now
a great looking design.

Also added a simple car pattern for sale.

The woodworking show will be here in Atlanta this weekend. There is not a tool that I need or intend to buy.
The best part is gathering
with friends and having a 3 day get together.
Maybe I'll see you there.

I am filming our clubs part in the show. Today, Thursday, I shot 10 second
segments of our clubs booth setup.
Fri., Sat and Sun. I plan to shoot the products at the show and
other clubs.

Just uploaded four new patterns to the main website...

I will have a store here soon for all the completed patterns.

Happy Valentines Day to everyone. Over a year ago I donated a heart shaped pattern to Steve Ramsey at Woodworking For Mere Mortals. Thanks to Steve and his website, he has sent over many people to my site.

This year, the time crept up on me and I didn't design a Valentines pattern. Hopefully, if I remember, there will be TWO free Easter patterns this year.

Todays project is to design at least one pattern and add to the 'Available Patterns' page. Keep your eyes peeled there for updates.
 ********************************
Working on a design project. I am designing the same scrollsaw pattern in Photoshop and in Coreldraw. The purpose of this is to show the differences between a bitmap and vectored pattern.
It is much easier to follow a vectored line han a bitmap with a scrollsaw blade.
I will show an example of each when patterns are completed.

Copying a pattern by another designer is illegal and immoral. Why someone would spend hours tracing an existing pattern is beyond me. Go ahead and spend the 3-5 dollars and save yourself some time and honor.

So what makes me bring up this subject again?  In a very popular woodworking forum, a member admits to doing this. Luckily, I happened to read the post before realizing MY pattern was stolen. Most designers will freely give a pattern if the buyer is having cash issues. It is only good karma to do that.

We have lost many great pattern designers because of theft. I do n not plan on quitting my pattern designs any time soon, but I don't tolerate theft. It costs a lot of money to go after the 'uninformed' people and probably not cost worthy.

This is the copied pattern. The original cost including shipping is only 2.25.,

Woodcraft offer a great bargain on the DeWalt scrollsaw twin, Delta.

A great bargain for 349.99, if you can get one. I know 3 people that went to buy this saw and a Woodcraft employee toild them that the ad was a misprint and could not be honored.  Three days later I read on Facebook where a scroller ordered one from Woodcraft Corp. and had no problem buying the saw.
Whats the real story here? I can't say but I do know that some lucky buyers received a great bargain.
